…hard to believe that HH-A has come up with moar b.s.
They are subhuman filth. Their prior attempt to blame interior damage from a pre-JimCo leak (which they made us investigate twice) failed after we informed them we had evidence to support our assertion the damage occurred before we ever did any work on the property. (Photos contained in a report we sent them more than a year before we commenced any work there.)
They are now playing the same stupid game with either a leaking chimney cap and/or improperly installed wood chimney fascia on a different unit. (Which we informed them about in the 2019 report mentioned above; chimney caps and fascia were not included in the contracted scope-of-work.)
We’ve already investigated and told them what should be done…and that we’re not interested in performing any further work for them beyond our warranty responsibilities.
They sent some other moron over there, who claims it’s our roof. So now we have to go there again, do some destructive investigation and document the results. For which we’re going to invoice them about $5K to be added to our “award request”.
Pieces. Of. Shit.
OTOH, BK’s pretty good again today, so yay!

Monday’s “Short” shift was Long on account of weather stranding the truck on the freeway twice, and us not getting our delivery of Papers on time. This time, it was about 2.5 hours late.
So all in all monday was 8.5 hours instead of the normal 4 to 6 it usually is.
Last evening/this morning went pretty much as expected, but I did have to drop by the post office once it was open to get mail bags, and also drop by the Hardware store once it opened to get propane for the forklift.
Around 14.5 hours. If it continues on like this it might be a pretty big paycheck.
as much as I’d personally like daily overtime pay instead of weekly, such programs are the harbinger of the End Times: i.e., your state turning blue and becoming a crime ridden pest hole.
Happy Weasel Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good day, Fatwa, dv8 (and Harper!), and Sven!
Been a busy day so far. I’ve been trying to sort out a problem that one of our new special education teachers caused last year and that her new boss last year didn’t catch. A new hire this year caught the problem in November, but as of today, the department head (the new boss) still hasn’t done anything about it. After a lot of searching through records, I found that a special education meeting that nobody thought happened, actually did happen; the special ed. teacher just never started, let alone completed and filed, the necessary documentation. Fortunately I was the administrator at the meeting and have a copy of the notes, so the documentation can be completed. Meanwhile, this poor student hasn’t been receiving the behavior support that he was entitled to.
dv8 -- sounds like a long week. I hope your paycheck properly reflects it.
Fatwa -- it’s hard to believe the carp that HH-A HOA has pulled on JimCo.
Not very Christian of me, but I say good. More and harder.
China’s Great COVID-19 Wave Has Begun
Just one week after China effectively ended its zero-COVID policy, the virus has spread rapidly throughout Beijing and other major cities. People have shared their positive test results in droves online, while some offices are reporting that 90 percent of their staff are sick. Yet Chinese media has barely touched upon the growing COVID-19 wave.
When life gives you raccoons, make lemonade.
G’day, GN!
There’s a shortage of them.

Glad to hear that BK is doing better.
Sorry to hear about the arbitration grinding on.

Up into that double-time pay area, eh?
we don’t have that in AZ
In fact, we only “got” a “state” minimum wage fairly recently.

Good day, Fatwa, and Dv8. Hard to believe, Mr. Arbuckle, that these assholes are still dragging this out.

China’s Great COVID-19 Wave Has Begun – Foreign Policy
Probably hardly anyone is getting very sick at this point or getting hospitalized. Even in China.
Anyway, if they had just gone that route in the beginning, they’d we well over it by now, and with probably several orders of magnitude FEWER deaths.
There are several factions at war in China; I believe this is actually what their covid overreaction is about.
