The finishing touches have been placed on the floats and judging (at least at the company we decorate for) has been completed. Later this afternoon, the slow journey to the parade route will begin. Hopefully, the floats will arrive with minimal damage. We left the decorating site about 2:45 am, unwound for a bit, then went to sleep. Now I just need to clean all the carp out of my sinuses so I can breathe again.
The Christmas tree has been undecorated, taken down, and cut in half for the trash pick-up on Tuesday. A little later, we’ll re-arrange the furniture back to the customary non-Christmas location. The lights and manger scene outside will stay up through Epiphany.
