President Sponge-Brain Sh!t-Pants issued an executive order regarding “gun violence” yesterday, while pandering to the community impacted by the Monterrey Park mass shooting. I read the EO and, as usual, it would have done nothing to stop the killing. California already has universal background checks, but that didn’t stop the killer from buying a pistol that is illegal to own in this state. The pistol also wasn’t registered, which is another felony offense that the killer ignored.
Yeah, no shit, eh? I’m amused to read headlines that say Brandon signed a “gun safety/control bill.” It’s not a bill. As you noted, Paddy, it’s an EO. Big difference. The purpose of which is to force 2A groups to spend money going to court to get rid of it.
it would probably be better with bulk sausage rather than ground beef. But you’d still have to rinse the kraut, I think to get the acidity to the right level.
I did add some caraway seed which helped taste wise, but mostly the vinegary sauerkraut clashed with the savory meat.
I hear that Gavin Newsome lobbied the president to bail out SVB. It appears he forgot to mention that he had both business and personal funds deposited with the bank -- and that SVB donated $110k to one of his wife’s projects.
Hi Sven -- I haven’t heard anything today, but he’s getting tired of not being able to eat. As of yesterday the antibiotics appear to be doing the trick. We still don’t have results of the culture to identify the infection.
The Russians downed an American drone flying over the Black Sea yesterday -- I don’t care. We’ve been fighting them by proxy for over a year and their action isn’t unexpected nor does it warrant a response.
I read that one of their jets collided with the propeller on the drone, after two of their jets dumped fuel on the drone. The only good thing is that I haven’t heard calls from the Left to retaliate.
I’ll Probably sleep through most of today.

I woke up around 12:30pm
Made some ground beef with sauerkraut.
It was a craving, I guess.
It was good, but a bit too vinegary. I think I should have rinsed it instead of just draining it. I’ll try that next time.
I think I’ll pass. I like sauerkraut, but I don’t think I want it mixed with my ground beef.
I agree… But ya know how you get one of those cravings every once in a while : )

I let it sit for a while, than added a few Tablespoons of water and sprinkled a bit of baking soda on top then simmered it until the liquid was gone.
That improved it greatly.
One more reason to avoid sleeping during the day.
