Decided to say “f**k work” this week and took the week off. I have over 8 weeks of vacation pay saved up and will now begin to seriously burn it.Thinking of taking the 4th of July week off too. No big plans -- just getting some stuff done.
You’d never see a raccoon destroying a house like that.
Sven -- glad you’ve got enough vacation time saved up to burn some when you need it. I can save up a maximum of 18 days -- just under 4 weeks. Of course this sure beats when I was teaching at a brick-and-mortar school. You got three personal necessity days a year and were expected to take vacation when school was out.
Talked to a guy today about funding on a couple of my projects. It would be good to be able to quit my job and spend all my time working on my own tech projects. I just don’t have the energy to do both.
Well…. I think it’s more to do with my time sense than with my energy level, to be honest.
If I have people I can delegate to and simply use my mind for what it does best… Provided I can get over that hump, it would probably be pretty easy to proceed with a project or two. Not saying I wouldn’t be working some long hours anyway, but it would be a different kind of work
Persistent little buggers, aren’t they?
Happy Tuesday, GN.
