I see the Senate passed the $95B Ukraine foreign aid package, with the help of 21 Rino Senators. This is the package that contains the “Trump becomes President” poison pill.
One time, like at least 25 years ago, me and Mrs Sven were watching teevee and some Valentine’s Day commercial comes on. I was feeling a little cranky and said something along the lines of “WTF? It’s Valentine’s Day again?”
Super Bowl Sunday, we were invited by some friends to watch the game. His son came over -- hadn’t seen him in maybe five years -- and he works for a leftist lobbying firm. I enjoyed talking to him and asking him questions about his job. It came up that his firm had worked on last week’s impeachment vote -- getting it not passed -- and how that was a huge win for them. I wonder how he’s feeling tonight. And I think, while he may feel personally bad, it’s not a bad deal for his company -- more billable hours coming up.
We are getting by, thanks. Elena has been sicker than I have so I have been trying to take care of her. She seems better today, she has been able to keep food down. This is the last day for the Paxlovid so that should help (I hope it does not turn us into reavers).
Happy what fresh hell awaits us Tuesday, GN.
Happy Philosophical ‘Coon Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Fresh hell? I can only guess.
Recycled hell? Most likely.
Stale hell? Most assuredly.

That side of the aisle still doesn’t like him, do they?
PSA: Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.

She reminds me of that EVERY single year.
I would expect nothing less of Mrs. Sven.
I wonder where they found their balls?
Wow! I missed that one! I know this is wishful thinking, but I hope the trial is popcorn-worthy.

You can’t see it, but this is my shocked face.
Not a dog; not a coon. A. Cat.
I am not shocked. The brave cat was valiantly defending the family from the nasty plague rats. A true hero.
Hoping all is well with Mac and Elena.

Well-played with the Firefly reference, Mac.
Thank you, Paddy. My inner nerd triggered every time I said or read the name.
Ironically, both of us noticed one of the side effects was racing thoughts and strange active dreams, plus a tendency to shakes.
Hmm, is it good to be one of the 1%?
Well, I haven’t started “decorating” my car yet, so there is hope.
