I just read reporting on the decision at AoSHQ. That judge did everything he could to make sure he could rule the way he wanted to, unburdened by actual facts and the law.
I inspected the cable splice yesterday, and it doesn’t appear to have failed. Mrs. Paddy said I joined them with a turnbuckle, but I can’t find it anywhere. With the cable swinging in the wind, it could have been flung into the neighbor’s yard. I’ll have to ask him.
I’m chairman of my church’s personnel committee. We have a meeting scheduled for this Sunday, but I won’t be able to attend, so someone else volunteered to run the meeting. She submitted a proposed agenda and I had to ask her to spell out “follow-up”, instead of abbreviating it (she’s 80). Here’s a couple of snippets of what she submitted:
(1) Diane – f/up Employee Evaluation Form.
(2) 2 Personal Days -- Linda to f/up.
(3) Pastor Matt’s Retirement Send-Off! Judi f/up.
No, I did not laugh when she showed it to me. No, I don’t know how I managed.
I like Dan Bongino -- he does a podcast on Rumble before his radio show and I’ve been watching it fairly regularly. Like everyone, he can ramble, become bombastic, and he can be redundant, but for the most part there’s always something interesting. I caught his show from yesterday this morning and he hit on embracing pain and suffering -- not a happy topic, but very heartfelt and impactful. Link below and worth watching. Skip ahead to the 33:00 minute mark -- it’s less than 15 minutes, but well worth your time.
Huh. Thread pic. Baffled. It appears to have nothing to do with cats.
I read that the judge in the Georgia election interference case did indeed split the baby, much like Brandon’s classified document crimes.
Pussy.

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Mac -- excellent thread pic! I lol’d!

Old people, eh? Pretty funny -- I would have left it as is.

Thanks, Sven.
Great news…not. Our insurance agent just called and said they will not renew fire on our homeowner’s policy.
That just sucks, Sven. There’s a lot of that going around in California.
