Happy Friday, GN,

Glad Elena is OK, Mac. Pretty funny about you wearing slippers out the door.

On the insurance issue, there are solutions out there but none of them are good. We’ll end up with coverage, but it will cost more. We do need to do some thinking -- on the plus side we do have some time to figure it out. Regardless tho, if/when we decide to relocate, it will make it harder to sell this house.

It’s messy and dangerous times all around us. If Trump is elected, he’ll be a stop gap (hopefully) against the left, but that’s all -- he won’t turn the tide.

Interesting. Did the illegal alien belong to “a well-regulated militia” as that’s usually what the left says the 2A only applies to.

Yes. All this is explained in the Gulag Archipelago, by Alexander Solzhenitsyn.

The Criminal is not harshly punished because he is just following his nature, but if a normally law abiding citizen does something out of the ordinary, even while not breaking the law, that must be harshly dealt with.

I’m glad I no longer live in CA or especially OR anymore, but as Sven and Paddy pointed out, this kind of thing is happening everywhere to one degree or another.

Terrorist attack in Russia -- I wonder if the msm will use the words “wet work” to describe it. Flip a coin if it’s the religion of peace or Ukranians doing the killing.

Hey. So Sorry to hear about the insurance woes. I had heard a while ago that many large businesses, including insurance companies were pulling out of parts of CA. The same is happening in OR.

I guess we might be at the point where Rome split into Eastern and Western kingdoms? Possibly? I wonder if the Romans were aware of all that happening around them while it was happening. Probably not. Most of them were just living their lives.

I found another job recently. Being a Night Auditor at a Hotel. I think it’s owned by Hilton. I’m still looking for brainier work. Perhaps I can do both if I get a remote job. Who knows.

Thank you, Mac. I’m continuing to look for similar jobs though, because there are many like it that pay more, and are much closer to where I live. This one, is about as far as I’d want to go for a job, especially one that pays this little, (although significantly more than my old Newspaper job) ((and it has French Benefits, which… I’m not sure how that affects me, since I’m not French))

Seriously though, it does have good benefits, so I guess that’s good?

Just kidding. But… I’m not sure. That’s why it’s been such a problem to find over the decades. The closest thing I found to it was when I was the personal assistant to a land developer. It felt like everything I did was important, because his whole day depended on me doing my job. Plus, I always got to learn interesting things… which… if it had gone on for a couple more years, I’d have probably been able to leverage into some ventures of my own.
