Watched The Shift last night -- it’s a sci-fi movie from Angel Studios loosely based on the Book of Job. Not bad, but I think it could have used some editing and chopped off maybe 20 minutes.
Sven, that looks like an interesting movie. I like a number of the cast members, like Neal McDonough and John Billingsley. It is not on the streaming services I have but I will watch for it. Thank you.
I pulled it up from Amazon Prime. I think Angel Studios released it last year.
If you have Netflix, we watched Mending the Line last week too. It’s described as A Marine wounded in Afghanistan returns to a VA hospital in Montana where he meets a Vietnam vet who teaches him fly fishing as a means to coming to terms with his physical and emotional trauma.
Not a bad film -- somewhat hallmarky, but definitely watchable.
Midweek -- I’ll take it.

Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
dv8 -- good luck on the job interview and the new jobs!
Good afternoon, my gentle friends.
