Have we already switched over to the summer gas blend? Gas prices here in my neck of the woods range from $4.65 to $5.00 for regular. At least from what I’ve noticed. Our auto insurance has bumped up another $400 a year for two vehicles for no good reason.
I got a new garage mini-fridge today. We have been using Teh Older’s old dorm fridge from college, but it gave out on Friday. Boy was I surprised to see the huge warning labels on the back. Instead of using an ozone-depleting refrigerant, this new unit uses cyclopentane. Cyclopentane is extremely flammable, with a flash point of -35°F.
Monday is way back in the rear view mirror.

California’s gas tax goes up to 59.9 cents per gallon today, plus the 18 cents per gallon federal tax, plus sales tax, plus other taxes and fees.

The summer blend starts on May 1. Gas prices in my area, according to GasBuddy, range from $4.39 to $5.19.
The HVAC guys just left. Yep, it was a bad capacitor. They were in and out in ten minutes.
