Once you get used to a leather jacket, nothing else seems to feel quite right. They fit themselves to you as you wear them. They are heavy so anything else feels like it is trying to float off, at least that is what I found. I miss not having one, but it is rarely cold enough here anyway.
It is like a leather glove, it feels wrong at first but the tight spots loosen up and that pulls in the loose spots and it ends up fitting great. My first one was an actual Highway Patrolman’s jacket. Very heavy with a saddle welt along the bottom to support a gunbelt and snaps on the belt loops to allow removal of the belt without taking everything off the belt. I had to be careful about what I hung it on it was so heavy. I often just leaned it against a wall. I wore it for years and even used it as padding when pushing one car with another and such things. My next jacket was lighter and less specialized for motorcycle use. Loved that jacket and wore it in all but the hottest weather. They are different.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
A long time ago, I wore my Dad’s old leather jacket. It was probably from the 50’s. Mrs. Paddy had it restored for me as a gift. I have to agree with Mac, it was very comfortable and I wore it everywhere.
I see that all the buzz today is Brandon dropping out of the race. That’s not good enough -- if he’s too old, feeble, and senile to win, then he’s too old, feeble, and senile to be POTUS for the next six months. No half measures.
I’m just wondering if our enemies would be more or less likely to mount an attack -- for instance an invasion of Taiwan -- with Kamala in the hot seat. Personally, I don’t want either of them anywhere near the levers of power, but that ship has already sailed -- straight into a sand bar.
I agree, but we are where we are. Politically, I think it would be better for Trump if Brandon just removes himself from the election and remains as POTUS. Paint the dems as caring only about winning and not giving a damn about the country.
Bummer. Trump’s speech, still going on, but sadly not a good one and, as usual, way too long. It’s too bad cuz he really could have turned a corner, but this is just the same rally speech he gives every week.
Good morning, GN. Huh. Never thought of coons wearing leather jackets, but it looks pretty good.

Hi, Mac. I’ve never owned nor wore one. Now I feel like I’ve missed out.

A very thoughtful gift. Very special.
Yes, it was.

Six months of Kamala Harris?
It’s what the Constitution calls for.

That’s sad to hear. I really thought that he had learned something about how to approach politics.
