Reading the Bible, many times I wish that God had hired a technical writer whose job it was to translate the complex and puzzling into something that everyone and anyone can understand.
I think one of the reasons that Jesus spoke in parables was that they were more relatable, more understandable to the people of that time. Unfortunately, there is no auto-translate function to change the parables with the times.
So Pam Bondi is tossed into the ring as AG nominee. I’m not happy with that, although the only thing I have are unfavorable memories of her during the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman trial. Don’t recall the details.
It’s the neocon remnants of the GOP. I’m curious as to how long Trump will let them fester.
On paper, Bondi is the better choice. Not as much of a fighter tho as Gaetz is.
True about Bondi vs Gaetz. Trump can’t start a fight with the GOPe before he is even inaugurated without risking delays on all of his appointments. He needs to have a functioning cabinet from day 1.
He’s not going to hit a home run with every pick and even the ones he wants that get confirmed, not all of them will be successful or effective. But there’s enough of them spread throughout the entire executive branch that some will and that will be worth it. It’s a start, but not a job that will be finished when he leaves in 4 years.
He does need to get some wins before draining the swamp. Not sure what those quick wins will be.

I’m unhappy that there were enough “R” senators that were willing to vote against Trump’s nomination of Gaetz.
