Went to the Mayo Clinic. Harper had a long appointment there. Both locations are in Scottsdale, but neurology is in the new campus. I got to make it into a mini vacation because I used my massive employee discount to book a room in a Hilton for a couple of nights, so we didn’t have to drive down to the valley for 2 hours at 4 in the morning and then drive back up afterwards. So we had a nice room with breakfast included. Very leisurely compared to what we usually do. Also I got to visit my mom. That was nice too.
In subsequent months, we’ll go to the Ketchup Clinic, and probably the Mustard Clinic. It doesn’t hurt to get a second or even a third opinion.
Everything went fine. She’s being reevaluated for treatment. She had a pretty good neurologist at Barrows, but he went back to India some time in 2020. So… Our GP thought the Mayo Clinic would be our best option. So there we are.

She was the best of felines, he was the worst of felines.
Mrs. Paddy and I are cat-sitting for Teh Older and his Bride as they travel back East to visit her family. They’ve had Gigi for over a year. She would come up to Teh Older as he walked through the apartment complex and rub against his leg. She was most likely abandoned. After a couple of weeks, they adopted her. She was often seen in the company of another cat, but he didn’t want to have anything to do with people. They would often find him on their patio (ground floor) during the day. They eventually put out a little “house” that he could sleep in and started feeding him. A few months ago, they trapped him, brought him inside, and named him Murrey. They’ve taken him to the vet, fixed his problems, fixed him, and have been trying to slowly socialize him. He and Gigi hang out together and play together, but is only slowly letting Teh Older or his Bride touch him. So I have Gigi running around the house and Murrey hiding under the love seat in my office, hissing any time I try to check on him, or feed him, or give him water. Cats. What can you do?

Nicely done, Dv8 -- hope all went well for Miss Harper.

Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), and Sven!
dv8 -- glad you were able to make it a more leisurely trip. I hope things went well for your lovely bride.
I’m sure you’ll relish those visits. Will they put you up in a condimentium?
I should have known…
lol
