Mrs. Paddy is baking Christmas cookies today. Teh Older and his Bride will be over a little later to help, as will one of our “adopted” daughters and her boyfriend.
Meanwhile, I have to go down our slope to clean up some branches left behind from a tree trimming crew hired by my neighbor. I also need to work on the speaker wires on my stereo -- they’re not making good connection.
Yep. I got my chores taken care of. It turns out the speaker wires on my stereo are fine, as are the speakers. I’m getting no signal out of the right speaker output from my receiver. It looks like it’s time to invest in a new system. The receiver, equalizer, and tape deck are over 35 years old, so I can’t complain. Something that can handle both modern and legacy connections would be nice.
Two of the people coming over to make Christmas cookies are sick, so the process went a bit slower. We still have one type of cookie to bake, then need to take plates of cookies to friends and neighbors.
