Our MAJOR HEAT EVENT starts today. No Santa Ana winds forecast, so we ought to get by without major fires. Will the power stay on for the duration? Magic 8 Ball says unlikely.
You would think they want everyone (you, not us) going back to a primitive life style but aren’t they also banning wood burning grills, stoves, and outdoor firepits? Have they made it illegal to walk in the woods yet?
I guess, to quote Goldfinger, they just expect us to die.
There are days you are not “allowed” to burn wood (in a grill, stove, fireplace, outdoor firepit, etc.) and permits for new outdoor fireplaces, grills, etc. have been banned. I’m sure if you have enough money and influence, you can get around these bans.
Why waste your time fining someone who can’t/will never pay? As for imprisonment, after prison realignment, there’s no room in the local jails for low-level offenders.
Watched the movie William Tell the other night -- didn’t enjoy it much. Slow and the acting while OK, not all that good. The plot too seemed a bit outlandish at times. The sets and costumes were good. Oh well.
Thank you for the heads up. I was not aware of this. Elena is less picky about acting but slow paced is kiss of death. It is available on streaming but I think I will pass.
We just finished a four season series from 2013 to 2016 called Banshee. We both enjoyed it. I downloaded it in 2018 because it had Ben Cross in it and I want most anything with him, but I had never watched it until recently when I saw a bit on Facebook. They do stretch some but there were several characters I found very interesting and which were well played, including Ben Cross. I thought Elena would like the action and some aspects, but she was really hooked, more than I expected. The series was well ended, but still left room for more if it was revived. I was only familiar with three of the actors but they all did rather good. Ever here of it?

Nope. Sometimes it takes longer than others for it to appear. I may need to wedge myself under the dash to look for something loose.

We are now starting the final season of Resident Alien. It just finished coming out and I downloaded it and burned it to DVDs.
