Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

This week is my spring break, so Mrs. Paddy and I are going to Paso Robles for a few days. The weather should be pretty nice. I’ll see you all in a few days.

Been re-listening to John Sandford’s Prey series. Crime/detective novels with Lucas Davenport as the main character and set in Minnesota. The first book in the series, Rules of Prey, was published in 1989 and I probably didn’t read it until the early 90’s as a plane read when I was consulting and flying out on Monday and back on Friday every week. It isn’t a bad series, but what I found interesting this time out -- haven’t listened/read anything of his in several years -- is how much things have changed since 1989. Cops are always looking for pay phones. Semi-autos are less common and most everyone has a revolver. There is no internet, so information is found searching through hard copy files. Music is either played as vinyl or cassettes. Thomas guides and maps. People have coins and use them.

So much has changed over the last 30+ years.
