We got gasoline here and paid over $3.50 a gallon, but I just read that California is now buying it’s gas from Japan so at least that money is not going to evil American workers. Also, Newsom claims that taxes are lower there so that should make things feel better.
SoA season 3 -- it’s every bit as bad as I remembered it. Way too many storylines, the acting is not as good as previous, and what motivates the characters to act in the ways they do is waaaaay inconsistent and confusing. “Jumping the shark” was invented for just this type of storytelling mess.
I saw the film when it came out, but haven’t watched it since. Maybe worth a second look. Philip K. Dick was one of my favorite authors and my favorite books are A Scanner Darkly and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.
Thread pic: Yes, it’s a problem.
And a happy Friday to all.
We had to go into the San Fernando Valley yesterday and gas prices over $6/gal were the standard.

I don’t know what taxes he’s referring to, but he’ll put a positive spin on things likely with much hand gesticulations.
$3.50 ain’t bad as a comparison, but it’s more than what you’ve been used to.
True, we complain when it exceeds $3.00, but then we see CA prices.

Ten years ago yesterday I had my heart attack. Monday I have an EKG and Thursday I do the treadmill torture test. Pfffffttttt!
You must be doing something right, Mac, hitting that 10 year mark -- good on you and good luck next week.
Mrs Sven is down to one more week before retirement. My message to her today was met with just a smile:
I hope she adjusts well and that you can join her in retirement soon.
