Yesterday I got all the bricks cut to narrow the fireplace opening. Now I need to find time to install them. Actually, first I have to get something to mix the mortar in. The buckets on the side of the house are a bit too crumbly. Once that’s all done, I can start the tile work. No, it’s not going to get done this week.
When you drop a glass on the kitchen floor and it breaks, no matter how thoroughly you sweep, look, and vacuum you never do get every little fragment, do you?

I usually find I can pick up some additional small pieces by running my hand over the floor, then a few more by walking barefoot on it.
