A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
It’s another beautiful day in paradise! It’s warm and sunny, the birds are singing, and most of the bills are paid.

Good morning and happy Sunday! I hope everyone is well-rested as we prepare for another National Dialogue on Race Relations in America. First Cliven Bundy and now the owner of the Clippers.

Pundits are weighing in:

“But this wasn’t just an anti-Magic Johnson rant. It was just part of an anti-African-American rant lasting close to 10 minutes. Whether it’s the NBA or anyplace else, there’s no place for that kind of talking in America in 2014. So it follows that there should no longer be a place for Donald Sterling in the NBA.”

“In the interim, it’s easy to say every right-thinking fan of any race (the ones Sterling apparently likes or doesn’t) should stay away from Staples Center until Sterling himself is gone or offers some kind of reasonable solution”

“”I feel sorry for my friends Coach Doc Rivers and Chris Paul that they have to work for a man that feels that way about African Americans” read a tweet from @MagicJohnson. “I will never go to a Clippers game again as long as Donald Sterling is the owner,” read another.”

“”The NBA must investigate L.A. Clippers owner, Donald Sterling’s, recent racial comments that were caught on tape and discipline him,” Al Sharpton said in his statement. “No one should be allowed to own a team if they have in fact engaged in this kind of racial language. We are prepared at National Action Network to rally in front of the NBA headquarters if this matter is not immediately dealt with.”

Hai, Paddy and Sven!

Re Donald Sterling: The civil rights movement in this country has, for decades, been a pale* shadow and hollow mockery of its original purpose. I’m pretty much at the point of labeling it “well-intended but imbecilic, based upon results”.

“Bitter…party of one…your table’s ready!”

The accompanying anti-semitism from the communi-tee and far too many phoney-baloney “liberals” is simply the icing on that particular carp-cake.

[* Usage of that word would be decried as “racist” by many of the responsible parties; fark ’em.]

Knowing absolutely nothing about Sterling or the Clippers or the NBA, I do find it somewhat hilarious that his bad behavior, for which he is being publicly flogged and is just the preamble to his obligatory apology tour and monetary donations to various minority organizations, crosses the societal line, whereas his banging a woman who is young enough to be his great-granddaughter is like OK.

Yup, Sven…selective outrage and “indulgence” shakedowns.

As one chap whom I follow on Twitter says frequently about a variety of institutions, “burn it to the ground”.

“In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” ― George Orwell

(Hey…I’m nothing if not revolting.) 😉

1) Gifted athletes are rarely held to the same standards as us proles; they’re special.

2) Save for Valanciunas, everyone on that list also happens to be black*, another group generally not held to the same standards as us kulaks. (Except the few who aren’t liberals; they’re “race traitors” of the vilest kind.) So they have double immunity from consequences.

[Because of my lack of interest re sports, I Googled pics of the whole lot to see if my “guesses” were correct.]
