Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Sunday greetings drizzly yet Happy Larryville, GN!

Mac’s thread pic today reminded me of ghastly ’70s schlock-cinema stinkeroo “Night Of The Lepus”:

From Wikipedia:

Widely panned by critics for its premise, bad directing, stilted acting, and laughable special effects, the film’s biggest failure was considered to be the inability to make the rabbits seem scary.

The Python’s Killer Rabbit was indeed far more frightening.

To depict the rabbit attacks, a combination of techniques were used. For some scenes, the rabbits were filmed in close-up stomping on miniature structures in slow motion. For attack scenes, they had ketchup smeared on their faces. For other scenes, human actors were shown wearing rabbit costumes.

As bad as that sounds, this rabbit pellet of a film was far worse.

A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa! Was Jimmeh Cahtuh the technical adviser on that film?

Mrs. Paddy is on vacation, so the whole family is going to church together, followed by brunch at a belgian waffle sandwich place that serves great craft beers.

Hi, Paddy --

I think Jimmuh was offered teh gig (hee; points for remembering that little episode) but was busy, ah, feting Arafat at Camp David, IYKWIMAITTYD.

I wonder if the Belgian waffle place provides better service if you have an imperious manner and click your heels? 😉

Good morning--perfect thread pic: No Hoff and no cats. Beautiful--brings a tear to my eye. Sniff.

Hai, Sven!

The developers of a new phone app called SketchFactor -- which they claim was created to help users avoid unsavory neighborhoods -- have been vilified as “racists”. (Which, as best I can glean, ain’t the case; more at their site.)

They say the app will permit users to add data as well as permit them to downvote it; in other words, “crowdsourcing”.

So, a DC news crew -- quite likely with a PC agenda -- decides to visit an area in NW DC labeled as “sketchy” to show how “doubleplus ungood” the app is. And while they were filming the segment, their van was broken into. They recovered some stuff, but thousands of dollars worth of gear is still missing.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA*snort*AHAHAaaaaaa!

Heya, Mac!

Three potential conservatives in the making?

One can hope, I reckon.

Found a trailer for “Black Sheep”; heh.

OK, that was kinda cute. And you are doing a great job, Mac, keeping the threads alive and well. Thank you for your continuing efforts.

Read about the racist app and the robbery. Quite funny.

Watched some of the Sunday news shows. I have to laugh at all the Obama apologists out there. No matter what, America’s first black or half-black president cannot be seen as a failure. Them people got a job to do and by God, they are going to do it!

Il Douchey looks pretty light in his saddle shoes on his feet.

IMHO, saddle shoes on men are a fashion no-no; they also ain’t very “presidential”.

Careful. You’re flirting with racism there.
