Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Tuesday salutations from slippery, slide-y Larryville, GN!

…my best to the lovely Mrs Arbuckle.

Done, Sven.

We had a mild ice storm last night; lost a couple of small tree branches and the power surged / dimmed numerous times but ultimately remained on. (Teh yay for surge-protected uninterruptible power supplies.)

Also saw an impressive arc along the main road two blocks away. Currently have teeny ice pellets lightly drizzling down but should get well above freezing for about ten hours today, which ought to melt almost all of the ice. And we’re not expecting any more precipitation until the end of the week.

Most importantly, neither of us have to go anywhere today; have adequate toilet paper and comestibles due to a modicum of forethought. 😉

Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
I’m glad that neither you, nor your blushing bride have to leave the house this morning. While watching video of cars sliding all over creation may be mildly amusing, it’s definitely not fun to be a part of the action.

Mrs. Paddy and I went kayaking on our local lake yesterday afternoon. The sky was clear and the air warm, with a slight breeze. It was wonderful (and not something you’d expect to do in February).

To paraphrase from the “Die Hard” franchise:

“Yippee kayak, motherfarkers!” 😉
