Delighted to see that “Speedbump teh Ex-Chechen Who’s Pining For the Urals” was on the dole. And that it appears the feds once again dropped the ball; guess they were too busy going after bloodthirsty animals like Kim Dotcom as well as arming Mexican drug cartels.
The city of LA has settled with them two women delivering newspapers that the police shot up during the Dorner panic back in February: $4.2 million dollars.
Top o’ teh mornin’, Sven…and thanks for teh update.
Did they demand flak jackets, tactical helmets and/or a Lenco Bearcat (with a roof-mounted pneumatic newspaper cannon) as part of their settlement? đ
I imagine that with that kind of money, split between the two women and their attorney, that they will likely stop delivering the LA Times and move to more peaceful climes. The investigation into the officers’ behavior is still “ongoing” and there remains another lawsuit to settle for another guy shot up in his truck moments after the first incident.
At least in Boston, authorities didnt shoot any civilians, altho I think that just might have been luck.
The investigation into the officersâ behavior is still âongoingâ…
Of course it is because, hey, Heroes In Blue. It probably wouldn’t do to charge them with “attempted murder under color of law while in a blind panic.”
Huh. Kings’ captain Dustin Brown gets a 2-game suspension for throwing an elbow. Not good with only two games left in the regular season and the Kings needing to win at least one of them.
Animals are driving me bonkers today. The old smelly female cat is in one room yowling at a painting of some parrots. The train comes by and the dog across the street starts howling. That sets off the peacock in the backyard.
I sense a country-western song in that one, Paddy!
I taught that peacock a lesson: hit him with a steady stream of water and sent him packing. Of course, he’ll be back mad in a few hours and will likely crap all over my truck.
Midweek greetings from Humpy Larryville, GN!

Criminy.
Interpretive dance in praise of our hard-working, kindly, caring and oh-so-efficient federal government:
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!
Diamond Dogs -- that was some weird cover art at the time.
Hey backatcha, Paddy!
Good album, but not as good as Ziggy Stardust. And yeah, a bizarre cover.

I’m afraid you’re probably correct.
Looks like I kilt another one.
Kilts iz bad.
But Kilz iz good.

Don’t you just hate it when a dog sets your peacock a-howlin’?

My God, how will we ever be able to fight back against this?

I suggest public ridicule.
