I was planning to roast a polar bear over a tire fire, but that’s been nixed. 🙁
I’m brewing my coffee with water melted from ancient glaciers. I thought I’d roast a couple of spotted owls over some old-growth timber, later today. I’m just not sure which source of electricity I should use to run my computer -- hydroelectric? coal? nuclear? Oh, and I thought I’d ship some DDT to Africa to help kill malaria-carrying mosquitoes and save some black lives.
Happy 5 Day X!
Earth Day Greetings GN! At KFH&BBQ we celebrated with 115 computers plugged in to the electrical grid, 6 monster air conditioners working overtime, and at least 70 cars idling with the A/C running for an hour at a time.
Paddy -- re KFH&BBQ: the knights can no longer sustain the burden. It’s the same 20 guys doing all the work for the Hall and for the council and most of my beloved 20 are turning 80 or moving to Florida in the near future. Long story; mostly boring. The vote for selling was 50-1. The only other KofC Hall in the county has also been sold.
Fatwa: Not dodgy; just lazy. Money for nothin’ and all.
Rabbit: I hope you are feeling better. I was so sorry to read about BW’s Mom. Smishes to both of you.
Good O Grabbin’ Mornin’!
Where do you find those threadpics?
That one really grabbed me!
( runs away)
G’morning from sunny Larryville, GN!
Hai, RabBeet; hope you two are feeling better today.
Another fine thread GIF and caption, Mac.
Nice to “see” that K8-E dropped-by last night. The KFH&BBQ inspection situation does seem a bit dodgy.
More in a bit…
Oopsie…almost forgot TeX’s 5/7 Birfday goodie; crikey!
Good morning--
Good to see ya, Rabbit. Not that it isnt good to see you too, Fatwa, and everyone else!
I need to catch up on teh threads.
Hai, Sven!
Just noticed teh cake baker shorted us one teat; dagnabbit!
It’s hard to find good bakers nowadays.
Ooooh…it’s Earth Day.

Hai, Paddy!
Don’t forget the pickled snail darter garnish.
How about solar?
Or a half-dozen urchin-powered stationary bikes like we use here in DeliveranceLand.
I blame Teh Caped Crusader.
Happy 5 Day X!

Kate -- oy! Been there, done that. It makes sense, but doesn’t make it any less sad.
Earth Day again? Tomorrow at work we’ll be celebrating it with snacks, refreshments, and numerous tips on how to be greener. I can hardly wait.
High humidity and low air circulation will usually do the trick.
