Went to a show last week: Berlin and Teri Nunn. Better show than the last few times we’ve seen her and at 54, man she still looks hot and can still belt out a tune.
More and more I find it odd the number of cell phones and iPads that people use at concerts. At this show, there had to be 20% of the audience using them to record the event. It’s like the only way they can relate to a performance is by viewing it through their device. And none of them have any concern about blocking the view of the people in back of them.
When did things change in the music industry? When did it become OK to record and distribute concert footage? In the case of Berlin, four hours later there were 10 videos up on YouTube from the show. When I was a kid, no way could you bring in video or audio devices to any show. Now, you just go online and you can pull up, for free, any performance that you want by any artist that you want, with better sound quality than what you get on a purchased album.
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT, Fatwa, and Sven!
RaBbiT -- you and BW be careful in this heat. TCM does not need to claim another victim.
Last night, as we sat on our back patio, we saw a raccoon in our pine tree. He/she seemed fairly unconcerned about us and stayed around for quite some time. We haven’t seen raccoons in our backyard for 10-15 years when we had a whole family of them. I guess I’m going to have to figure out another way of putting out rat poison, since I don’t want rats trying to get into our bird feeder, but I also don’t want to poison the raccoons.
Caturday O grabbin’!
Our last day of 99 degrees before a few days of over 100. Don’t even want to know the “heat index”.
That’s it for me…

Happy Caturday from hot ‘n’ humid Larryville, GN!
Hai, RabBeet!
I got nothin’ else; BBL.
Good morning,
Wonderful thing, books. Even cats can appreciate them.
Hot and muggy out here too. Good chance of a bit of rain today.

Cool, Paddy. I was hoping he’d make it OK to your place!
Coontinental drift?
Paddy, heh!
Some nice rain today. Thunderstorms followed by a steady drizzle. We can use it.
