When I first listened to this after downloading it I thought it sounded like Kathleen Battle but the voice just didn’t quite have her sparkle. I had to find the link again and check it. I have not heard of her but I sure like this performance.
Mrs. Paddy and I just got back from our city’s Memorial Day ceremony. The keynote speaker was a recently-retired Sergeant Major in the Marine Corps. He gave an incredible speech that touched on all the right points, asking “where do we get such men?” and concluding with a Final Roll Call.
Q. Can I cook vegetables on a grill instead of meat?
A. Sure! And you can sing the French national anthem at the baseball game, too, you tiresome Bolshevik. Simply stab the vegetables with a skewer and put them on the grill until they are as good as hamburgers.
