G’morning, GN!

I like to think I’m not getting older; I’m getting ornerier.

Hi Fatwa and good morning and happy Wednesday, GN!

Another day begins during which Donald Trump will say something stupid.

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Hai, Sven!

Trump will say something stupid, Hillary won’t answer any questions from the media, our FedGov will continue their rampant lawlessness and contempt for the Constitution; it’s like an evil, repressive version of “Groundhog Day”.

You can imagine how much I’m looking forward to another 95 of them.

Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

I heard some talking head the other day listing off the reasons why Gary Johnson wasn’t the right choice for President and I thought, hey, aren’t you the guys who keep telling us that no candidate is perfect and we have to vote for the best person?

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Heya, Paddy!

While I certainly find some serious policy flaws re Johnson, I also I also think he’s a significantly more experienced candidate with a better track record insofar as fiscal responsibility and liberty are concerned.

While the SCOTUS is an important consideration -- as we can be pretty sure Clinton’s choices would be horrible -- we have absolutely no idea who Trump would actually nominate. Or what he’d really do in office.

While I highly doubt Johnson can be elected, as of now I’m planning to use my vote as a market signal. (And hope doing so might help nudge the Overton window in what I consider a salutary direction.)

I’d like to see Johnson participate in the debates, but given that we already have proof that some polls have been manipulated, I doubt that he’ll get the required 15%.

IMHO, the standard ought to be that if you’re on the ballot in all 50 states, you get to debate.

I preferred when the League of Women Voters sponsored presidential debates instead of the debates now being owned and operated by the DNC and RNC.

Indeed.
