Had very few “customers” last night; glad I only purchased one bag of relatively inexpensive (Starburst / Skittles) candy. However, I’ll stop by Waddlemart this morning to see what good (i.e., chocolate-containing M&M/Mars or Hershey’s) stuff might be on sale. 😉
LambiePieK was not happy with the two hurried costume pics I took yesterday morning as she was heading out the door. They were not improved by the lack of flash on my phone (as the auto-flash was turned off); the results of my inexpert tweaking didn’t help, either. But if any of her cow-workers have better ones which pass scrutiny, I’ll share ’em.
Glad it’s only a week until the election; I’m incredibly weary of the whole carpshow, given that I find both candidates equally unworthy (albeit for slightly different reasons). I believe the aftermath will be quite unpleasant regardless of who prevails.
As Mac has opined in the past, “Our Founders would spit on us.”

I did have a great time on my trip. Fishing was great, weather was perfect! Water was warm and as clear as an aquarium. I love Bahia De Los Angeles! Cant wait to go back in June! Coming home, not so much. I ended up very sick with an intestinal bug..get this. NOT from Mexico. I got food poisoning from my favorite restaurant when we got home and hurled for 2 days. Finally made it into work on Wednesday to major computer problems. Got them all straightened out by end of work yesterday. Now I must tackle this huge pile of work on my desk..and October’s billing. Good times!

By the time I got to Waddlemart, which wasn’t all that late in the morning, there wasn’t a lot of chocolate stuff left. However, got a large sack of Reese’s / KitKat / Whoppers / Hershey’s at half-price, which works out to approximately $0.05 per goodie…about what I think they’re worth.
Almost bought a second bag and then thought better of it, as there will be so many food temptations over the next sixty days.
Maaaaaaan…seems like there’s a treasure trove of, *ahem*, embarrassing stuff in the Podesta Wikileaks dump:
We had most of Elena’s family over last night for the grand niece’s first Trick or treating, she is almost 9 months old. When Elena’s mother was alive we used to host Thanksgiving here to reduce the strain on her as they host Christmas, but I think this was the first time in some time we have had them here without someone just being out of the hospital.
She had a good time and looked very cute. We tend to get cute and well behaved kids here. There did not seem as many but we did go through a large bag of good candy (Milky Way, Snickers, Butterfingers, etc) that we stopped using when I found out I was diabetic, and one case of microwave popcorn. We had three cases of popcorn but Elena wanted to use the candy first. Some kids remembered we gave popcorn before so we made sure we took care of them, that has been very popular with the kids and their parents so it is our regular T or T offering. A lot of people are saying they saw less kids this year. I can think of a number of sad reasons why that might be true. Our neighborhood is a nice one with mostly old farts like us or young families. They have made Halloween somewhat more fun again.
Elena uses the popcorn herself so it will not go to waste. We buy it at Costco and I think a case is 40 bags.

We had two bags worth of customers last night -- about average. Many houses in the neighborhood were dark, though.
I’m sure the FBI will delay any substantive investigation until after the election and we’ll be stuck with President Kaine.
