Outsmarted by a dog. Sad. Speaking of cats, for the last several days Jack Tatum has been acting oddly. He’s been quite nervous/anxious and has been staring out the north facing windows at the hills behind us. Last night he was actually trembling while looking through the patio door windows. Inside, he isn’t resting well, but running from room to room.
I figure either the everpresent smoke smell has him on edge or some large animal has moved into the neighborhood after fleeing the flames. There’s been cougar and bobcat sightings on this street before, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what Tatum is sensing. He’s never shown anxiety when coyotes are near, so thinking bigger cat.
I’ve been tempted to throw a sheet over my head and spring out at him while yelling buggabuggabugga, but Mrs Sven says not a good idea.
