Wonder if teh Dems will continue delaying implementation of the ACA until after the 2016 elections, as well…since folks are still finding out what’s in it. (And I think there are long odds it’ll regain its original, ah, limited popularity.)
In other news, John Effin’ Kerry continues to be deeply engaged in the Egyptian imbroglio from aboard his yacht. (Democrats bein’ the voice of the working class and all…) I’ll bet he provides awesome healthcare for the crew, too. 😉
On a Wednesday morning, with gray clouds threatening, two York City teachers, an administrative assistant, the district’s security director, a parent, a 9-year-old student and Willis ventured into the neighborhoods surrounding McKinley Elementary to woo the parents of children enrolled in charter schools.
…
The district has been hemorrhaging students — and, by extension, state funding — since charter schools began opening in the city more than a decade ago. The state-mandated recovery plan approved by the district’s school board in June banks on hundreds of charter students returning.
Ya, our union members need the money more than your kids need an education. They won’t need to be literate or able to add and subtract, Obama will put them on disability for life. No problem!!
Olive that the district’s “recovery plan” is probably not very, how you say, reality-based. (As I suspect that parents had to wage quite a battle to get the charter schools and will be very resistant to the idea of giving their business to the “vendor” who screwed them in the first place.)
Come back! The classrooms are no longer over-crowded! [Might that have anything to do with the hordes of kids who have been fleeing your carpy schools?]
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
A very peaceful thread pic, Mac -- I half expected something to come popping up from it.
Happy Sunday, GN!

G’morning, Paddy…and heh.
(BTW, the site seems to be fiddly again this morning…at least from our end.)
I had some problems late last night, but it seems fine this morning.
Seems to be intermittent from here…as it was a couple of weeks ago.
Hyuk!
Dateline: York, PA :
Teachers, administrators go door to door, hoping to reclaim youths enrolled in charter schools
Buwahahahahaha!
