That is one brave thread kitteh to chase off all o’ them clowns.

Funny that the EnZed mosque shooting’s getting so much breathless coverage in large part because it was a mosque. (And my own reaction to that story suggests I may be a bit of sociopath; oh, well…)

Hi, Fatwa -- and good morning, GN.

I’m disturbed by my own reaction to this latest killing, which is more callous than I would like. What tweaks me the most is what I see as obvious media bias as the MSM grabs what they want from this story, blame Trump/white people, and rams it down my throat.

I hate accepting that the media is as biased as it is, even with copious evidence supporting my take, but I got nothing else. This, even though it and similar incidents happen on a weekly basis, “Mexican officials find 19 bodies in a sewage canal” gets nothing from the MSM, while NZ is going to be pounded into us relentlessly for the next month.

One event “confirms” Trump and white people bad while the other is something we shouldn’t talk about cuz it might destroy the “all Mexicans are good people and those that break our laws are just trying to make their lives better” or some such bullshit.

I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t even want to listen to the other side, and that’s maybe not so healthy.

Hey, Sven!

The media’s (and the Left’s) hierarchy of victimhood is most peculiar to me, as is the concept of “intersectionality”. I suppose that vile philosophies have to be cloaked to disguise just how ugly they really are, or they’d find few adherents.

I prefer the relative honesty of, say, Islam wherein their “holy book” tells them about every three pages to smite the unbelievers. (Especially those filthy Jews.)

TBH, my initial reaction to the recent Kiwiland mosque unpleasantness was, “Well, that’s 48 fewer potential yehudi-killers walking on this earth.”

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Happy Clown-less Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

In re the massacre in EnZed, I hate that things like this happen anywhere in the world, but two things strike me: 1) the mosque shooting seems to be getting more coverage than the massacre at the temple in Pennsylvania; and B. We seem to be more accepting of these violent attacks in either a) 3rd-world sh!tholes, or b)Israel (when committed against Teh Joooos).

Hi, Paddy!

Read an article earlier wherein the Rabbi from the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh was quoted as saying in re Christchurch:

https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/434352-tree-of-life-rabbi-responds-to-new-zealand-mosque-shooting-like

“To me it was as though I’m living the movie ‘Groundhog Day’ as a horror film all over again,” Dr. Jeffrey Myers told MSNBC’s Katy Tur.

What a pusillanimous little shitweasel, who went on to say:

“I don’t think our leaders have served us well when they are the ones to model the proper way to speak and behave with each other. When they’re uncivilized towards each other, they give us the permission to therefore act that way with our neighbors. I don’t see that changing anytime soon in our elected leaders,” he said.

You mean like Ilhan Omar, you miserable POS? Why not call her out? Oh, wait…that would require some fuckin’ guts, you spineless worm with a kipah.

“I think it has to come from the ground up, from ordinary citizens who say, ‘we’ve had enough of how you behave, this is unacceptable and we’re going to demonstrate for you the way you should be behaving.’”

Then do it, you craven, wretched piece of human refuse; you can start with the Congressional Democrats…and Republicans re their Mohammedan fellow legislators.

*Spit*

Nigerian Muslim Militants Kill 120 Christians in Three Weeks

The recent death toll of Christians in Nigeria has reached 120 with this week’s slaughter of more than 50 by Fulani Muslim militants in the Kaduna state of Nigeria, the Christian Post reported.
The Fulani jihadists, who have become a greater threat to Nigerian Christians than the Islamist terror group Boko Haram, stormed the villages of Inkirimi, Dogonnoma, and Ungwan Gora in the Kajuru Local Government Area last Monday, destroying 143 homes, killing 52 people, and wounding dozens more.

The assailants reportedly split into three groups, the first of which fired upon the people, the second set fire to buildings, and the third chased down people fleeing from the scene. Victims of the assault included women and children.

The media has this continuous narrative of orangemanbad -- like it’s the only show in the world. Every single Trump act or unfavorable acts that can be attributed to Trump in some fashion are all woven into one long story that must be told. Whereas everything else that happens is just some isolated movie of the week never to be watched again happening.

One good thing about VDH’s book is that it reminds me of things I’ve forgotten since they aren’t part of the Trump narrative, like Sen. Feinstein’s Chinese spy chauffeur.

All the pundits/journalists advise you not to watch the video of the mosque shooting. I agree for the most part and I usually have no desire to see anything like this, but I find this journalistic perspective incredibly condescending in the “we know best and will tell you what you need to know” kind of way.

“Some of us, like journalists and police, are professionally obliged to view distressing imagery to try to discern valuable new information, whether for investigation purposes or to better inform debate. A small minority of us might be scanning the footage in desperate hope to establish the whereabouts of our loved ones. But plenty of people are today looking at the Christchurch video for no real good reason—just because the draw of the drama and the apparent safety of viewing it from miles away, behind a computer screen.”

1. I don’t like the idea of journalists/media being the filter that then shapes the narrative because I really don’t believe what you tell me any longer.

2. Evil exists -- this idea that if we don’t watch something or acknowledge it means it doesn’t exist, much like the ridiculous Harry Potter universe where you weren’t supposed to say the evil wizard’s name, is absurd. Evil is there and this is what it looks like -- we need to recognize it and deal with it.

3. I don’t like the idea of the govt scrubbing stuff from the public debate -- and that’s definitely in play here -- information, no matter how terrible, needs to be available so I can make up my own mind.

Here’s one site that has the first minute of the first shooting. It is terrible, but this is what happened.

When we isolate ourselves from the real evil that exists in the world, we come to regard petty annoyances as “evil”, diluting the word to the point that we no longer understand -- at a visceral level -- the evil that some are capable of, and that is visited too often, on others.
