Not that this is news, but far too many American Jooos are cowardly fools.

So, I get up this morning and find I have an IM from my boss. My coworker, with whom I team-teach, has “an urgent matter” and won’t be teaching today. BTW, we’re to be observed either today or Thursday. OK, I’ll cover her lessons, I guess. Let’s see what she’s planned. Download the powerpoint for one class. Pre-load two youtube videos for the other class (and figure out what to do with the rest of the time). Have a conversation with my boss about this teacher’s performance and seeming unwillingness to be evaluated. Figure out what we can do if we need to get rid of her -- how to cover her classes, develop the remaining Individualized Education Plans she has for the rest of the year, manage the students on her caseload, etc.
So Paddy is teh youngster on teh wheel. I’ve taken more than one online course in a virtual classroom, but I’d love to see what goes on in yours with a full class of kids.
Thanks for the bday wishes, but this one really has me down in the dumps. Heading out to dinner with Mrs Sven. I best put on a happy face so she doesn’t shoot me.
