I remember when LeBum LeBron was bitching that being the star player for the Cav’s was just like being on a plantation. (He sho’ ’nuff got to live in a big house.)
Had a good evening last night -- happy to hear how things have gone with this guy. Thirty years though -- it brings to mind James McMurtry’s line about it being a damn short movie and how’d we ever get here. And so for your morning musical interlude:
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and dv8!
Last day of work before school is out -- it will be interesting to see if the number of emails and IMs decreases throughout the day -- the exact opposite of a normal work day.
Another Chinese company asked me to do a review of one of their audio products. This time, it’s a USB microphone. I keep getting free stuff from China, but I like to think I earn the stuff by doing my crappy unprofessional-looking homespun reviews.
good point, I could conceiveabley get spyware when the USB driver installs, although I think it uses the generic windows driver.
These companies are doing this kind of thing these days. The real story is that they’re kinda buying reviews on amazon for their products.
I’ve done this kind of thing before, they give you enough money to buy their product on amazon, then you try it out and leave a review. They target small youtube channels, because they’re hoping you make a video also (which I don’t mind doing, it’s free content, after all).
I got a lavalier mic that way recently. It’s pretty cheap, and pretty well made, and I was pretty amazed at its quality considering it was 12 bux.
Another good thing about this kind of offer, is that you can combine it with other little cheap doodads you want to buy from amazon, and then get free shipping. I happen to need a couple of wires and whatnot that I can piggyback on this purchase so I’ll get another mic and I’ll get free shipping for the stuff I need also.
This is regarding the windows 10 outlook app: When I follow a thread on the wheel, a certain percentage of the notifications end up in my spam folder despite me constantly marking them as “not junk.”
I added a contact for the wheel, so maybe that will help. Maybe I should send an email to it as well, just to make sure, we’ll see if that works.
Every once in a while one goes into my spam filter. I think it is ones with links, but it is rare so it isn’t a problem. At least the new Wheel does not seem to do that as it used to.
Happy “Myles Garrett Is Cleveland’s Jussie Smollett” Friday, GN!
(Nice thread pic, Mac.)
I wonder if Browns fans will pelt ol’ Myles with Subway sammiches and bleach bottles…
Sven --
Hope you and your former cow-worker had a pleasant visit.
Will be visiting Waddlemart later this morning to purchase “Squash of teh Godz” fixin’s; I know what we’ll be doing Wednesday. Bah!
BBL.
The NFL is a terrorist organization promoting violence and racism during every play.
Heh.

Hiya, dv8 und Paddy!
Waddlemart run completed; was awfully crowded for being nearly a week out from Thanksgiving.
Only other SotG item required is the danged crook-necked squash (WM doesn’t stock them), I’ll probably just get ’em at Publix on Monday.
I’m feeling festive already. 👿
WTH? Trump is still POTUS? We are doomed.
Orange man bad (again)
Orange pumpkin cookies good.
(Yes, Mrs. Paddy just made a batch)
I made my high protein scones yesterday, I know they’re not orange, but I just wanted to chime in with another dessert.
I still have have one of the Gentle Lady’s flax breads almost every morning.
I just told her that. She’s giving us the “thumbs up.”
Ironically, she doesn’t eat that kind of roughage anymore, but if I make one, she’ll have a little nibble.
I LOL’d.
I’m a Bad Gerbil™

Free gear’s good.
Homespun’s good.
Mind the spyware. 😉
