Fatwa -- these attacks are, to me, incomprehensible, primarily because to me anti-semitism in a first-world county is incomprehensible. Anti-semitism coming from Blacks is even more so. The failure of the Jewish community to stand up against this newest wave of anti-semitism is completely dumbfounds me.
Was appalled to read about the TX church shooting; curious about the shooter’s “backstory”. Was unsurprised to read that there were several armed parishoners who were able to limit the carnage.
Yeah…Twitter’s been more vile than usual today; someone turned-up the vitriol to 11. They only other time I’ve seen it that high was the day after Trump was elected.
It appears -- at least in the early reporting -- that after the murderer opened fire, a parishioner shot him. No reports on whether the murderer is among the dead, or the wounded.
A live stream of the worship service shows a person wearing a large coat stand up and then pull out what appears to be a rifle or a shotgun as communion was finishing. The shooter appears to fire twice before another person appears to shoot back.
The entire shooting lasted about six seconds, video of the live stream shows.
Many people in the congregation ducked under church pews while others rushed toward the shooter, holding up handguns, the video shows.

So, another attack on Jews in New York last night with five stabbed. Capping a week of daily harassment and assaults there.
And surprise, surprise, surprise…the alleged perp is not a white nationalist. Nor is he Hispanic. Or Asian.

A church shooting in Texas this morning. At least three shot, one dead.
It appears -- at least in the early reporting -- that after the murderer opened fire, a parishioner shot him. No reports on whether the murderer is among the dead, or the wounded.
Here’s hoping the first reports are accurate this time.
MedStar officials confirmed at least two people were killed and one person was transported in critical condition. One of those killed was the suspected shooter, MedStar officials told WFAA.
