Teh Squeaky Wheel
I believe! I believe!
I believe it’s Friday, Gerbil Nation!
The last test of the year is today (excluding the final exam). I know many of the students didn’t do the assigned reading and waited until the last minute to do the homework. I’m sure they’re going to be surprised when I tell them this is an open-note test.
Hey is Monica Lewinsky still working at the White House? That would explain why the IRS Commissioner went there as many times as he did.
Is teh kitty in teh thread pic a Justin Bieber fan or something? 😉
I *snogglesnorted* when I read your store name suggestion yesterday (as I remember that joke from junior high).
As re your 10:33 comment: eeeeuuuuuuw!
It’s one of those jokes, Fatwa, that never gets old!
As far as Shulman going to the White House as often as he did, my bet is on him banging someone. A nice little workplace romance and/or servicing.
…my bet is on him banging someone.
Uh huh…taxpayers. Individually and collectively.
Shulman’s another smug, entitled scumbag who causes me to seriously ponder the Chinese method of dealing with government malfeasors. Brutal? Yes…but a possible deterrent to successors as well. (And given some of my prior dealings with that lot, I’d consider volunteering for the job; just sayin’.)
Here’s a question. My state senator, Fran Pavley, voted yes on all gun control bills earlier this week. Prior to that vote, no constituent outreach on her part-no town hall meetings, etc. Now she’s hosting this other thing in town next week-something about how old people can protect themselves from scammy contractors-so how uncivil or rude would it be for me to go and ask her about her votes during the Q&A portion of her seminar?
I’d hate to be uncivil.
Santa Clarita/Lake Castaic is burning. I can’t smell smoke, but it is real hazy out.
…how old people can protect themselves from scammy contractors…
Um, guns? 😉
She’s your state senator; I think you’re perfectly within your rights to ask about her 2A votes as well as mention any other pertinent issues such as homeowners insurance.
Sometimes good citizenship requires just that.
OK, then, Fatwa, I’ll plan on going and seeing if I can cross her up a bit.
OK, now this makes me just laugh and laugh and laugh:
Washington (CNN) – The Internal Revenue Service has told House GOP investigators they have identified 88 IRS employees who may have documents relevant to the congressional investigation into targeting of conservative groups, according to a congressional source familiar with the investigation.
The IRS asked these employees to preserve all the “responsive documents” on their computers, and it has been in the process of collecting it all to comply with congressional requests for information. The IRS missed its May 21st deadline to turn over documents to the House Ways and Means Committee.
The same source said the IRS argues it missed its deadline because of the scope of documents it is collecting.
It’s that last line that got me howling. For weeks now, we’ve been told how it was just a few ‘rogue’ employees; watched testimony from management-level employees saying how they can’t remember nothing or were blissfully unaware; watched the head of the department plead the 5th; but now, the damn thing is so huge that they just can’t gather it all up in a timely fashion!
What a hoot.
Hey I came here for a captioning contest and all I got was this stupid tee shirt!!!!!!!!
Brenda asked me to apologize on her behalf re a captioning contest; she just remembered it was Friday night a couple of minutes ago. (And it has been a slightly busy day here at CasaK.)
Well, OK. Sniff.
