We had Annie the Pixie-ish pug this week. She was a joy & at times a trial.
Unfortunately, Harley suffered a massive stroke that left him damaged beyond repair & we had to put him down Thursday. He was 12 or 13, so he had a long , good life for a pug. BW was crying & said “I thought Grace had come to TM because her cat was getting old, but she was really meant for me all along.” I have been preparing myself for this loss for awile,, so I’m not as devastated as BW. She takes all these animal deaths very hard.
Yesterday, when the Good Nephew, wife & child came to pick up Annie, we had to tell them. Harley had been their ring-bearer at their wedding. So I guess things were just meant to work out that they got to see & play with him last week.
Their son turned 8 while on vacation & was thrilled over his birthday presents: A “USA” t-shirt & a snowcone machine.
Jerrie, I am sorry for the loss of your friend. I hope you find comfort soon.

I’m so sorry about Harley. I know how hard it is to lose our furry companions.
Got up at 4:30 this morning to pick up Teh Younger from Grad Night. I’ve got to be somewhere else at 10:30 this morning, so there’s not much use in going back to bed. I think it’s time to make some coffee and try to schedule a nap for later today. If I don’t have time, I wonder if Harper would take one for me?
Very saddened to read about Harley; hugs and scritches for your household as appropriate. That just sucks.

Teh thread pic came perilously close to causing caffeine snortage.
KFH&BBQ’s Festival of Bacon was outstanding, IMHO. Even the sole baconless creation -- meatballs -- was utterly delicious. Plus, I got to visit with K8-E and PMK as well as meet some nice folks. Definitely full of WIN.
