Amen, brother!

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Happy Not-Monday, GN!

G’morning, Mac! Bummer about getting stung; glad your waspocalypse was successful. Could you hear the lamentations of their queen?

I also appreciated your mini-rant; hope there were no survivors to read teh tale, else…dun dun DUNNNNNNNN:

“You’re gonna need a bigger bug sprayer.”

Another startling thread GIF, too; got teh ol’ adrenalin going.

I got nuthin’ else; I feel as though this country has become a slow-mo train wreck and I cannot avert my eyes.

Have a cheery day. 😉

When I feel like that, Fatwa, I read Robinson Jeffers-in particular, his poem, The Answer.

…To keep one’s own integrity, be merciful and uncorrupted and not wish for evil; and not be duped
By dreams of universal justice or happiness. These dreams will not be fulfilled.
To know this, and know that however ugly the parts appear the whole remains beautiful…..

Oh, yay:

Foreign powers and the Jewish diaspora have triggered the unrest in Turkey and worked effectively to boost it, Deputy Prime Minister Beşir Atalay said yesterday in the Central Anatolian province of Kırıkkale.

Atalay also said the international media had a big role in “the conspiracy” and had led the unrest “well.” “The ones trying to block the way of Great Turkey will not succeed,” he said.

“There are some circles that are jealous of Turkey’s growth. They are all uniting, on one side the Jewish diaspora. You saw the foreign media’s attitude during the Gezi Park incidents; they bought it and started broadcasting immediately, without doing an evaluation of the [case],” Atalay said.

Media = Joooooooos; that never gets old.

Gotta go oversee my vast (and pernicious) media empire.

“SweetheartK, kindly get teh Instanbul bureau on the phone!”

This may take a while; BBL.

Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Mac and Fatwa!
I get the impression that Mac doesn’t like wasps. Do you get paper wasps or mud daubers in your part of Texas?

You’d think that if Fatwa’s media empire had such pull as to effect politics in Turkey, he’d have better reporting on the protests in Egypt. I must think on this.

Sorry about the sting Mac, but you showed them! And reading your description of the event, why, I thought you might be channeling Fatwa!

A tiny little bit cooler today but still miserable. Only lost power once yesterday and they got it back up and running in less than half an hour. Hmmmmm. Still wondering how the GREAT STATE OF CALIFORNIA will adjust to losing the San Onofre nuclear plant-probably by installing gazzillions of cheap Chinese solar panels.

So Egypt is falling apart again? Do I care? No.

In May, Secretary of State John Kerry (puts new meaning in the term “SoS”, doesn’t it?) released $1.3 billion in foreign military funds to the Muslim Brotherhood-controlled government of Egypt. As it currently appears that the military is siding with the general populace, against the Muslim Brotherhood, one wonders where that $1.3 billion will end up.

There’s nothing like a trip to Walmart to remind me why I’m a misanthrope. (Alas, one who likes saving money; perhaps I should try shopping there late in the evening when the waddle-butts might be in torpor after an orgy of consuming all of the fatty / sugary / salty crap which fills their carts -- and posteriors -- to overflowing.)

… I thought you might be channeling Fatwa!

Heh.

Mac is much more of a gentleman than I…even when he’s irritated.

Maaaaaaan…running the world’s media -- and slanting everything to teh advantage of the Joooooos -- is hard. And despite all of my backbreaking efforts, I still ain’t getting my Zionist gelt.

It’s almost as though a certain ethnic stereotype may have some veracity. 😉

…I still ain’t getting my Zionist gelt…..

EXACTLY what I would expect you to say. Just sayin’.

Excitement in the Sanford courtroom as they all think Trayvon’s mom will take the stand next.

I’m no big fan of White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, either. 😉

This got a couple of snickers from me:

Timely video, Fatwa. teh Grease Pit Inspector comes back tomorrow. Yes, teh gov’t doesn’t trust us to get our grease pit emptied before it overflows and spreads hideously nauseating fumes and ooze all around the people who pay to eat at the Hall.

Heya, K8-E --

Is there actually some statist goon whose purview is specifically inspecting grease traps? (That sounds more like Cuyahoga or Los Angeles County.)

Because a nice -- and well-managed -- venue such as KFH&BBQ wouldn’t have some sort of, I dunno, vested interest in keeping congealing gack from accumulating.

I wonder what it would feel like to have the sort of freedom I believe our Founders espoused.

Off to go practice piano; my diligence re pedagogy for the past year has definitely helped my playing to suck less.

Yes, Fatwa, there is a Congealing Gack Goon in Gwinnett County. More than one, actually. Bo is quite pleasant for a man who inspects ick containment.
