I see they arrested someone for vandalizing DC landmarks with green paint-bet it was a Tea Partier……or even Sarah Palin herself.

Morning Greetings!
Thanks for the tweet codes. I’m sure there is a list somewhere on the interweb, but I don’t want to look it up.
BW & I are going to give our money to The Indians in Oklahoma tomorrow. We went last month & had a great time. Played all day, didn’t hit the ATM, and came home with half of what we went up there to lose. So we count that as a win.
We have discovered that Weds. is senior citizen free breakfast buffet day. They have it in a large convention center room with about 5 food stations & a live band plays the whole time. they are the “High Rollers” lol. We had been there before & enjoyed it.
Last month they sent us coupons for a free lunch during any weekday, so we combined the offers &ate lunch, too. It was the regular restaurant buffet. It was so-so. I mean, I would eat it for free, but I’d be disappointed if I had to pay for it. (The time before that , we ate at a chain Mexican place in the Cazzino.).
When we got home that night, we found coupons for this month in the mail again. So , off we go.
Nice to see that RabBeet and K8-E dropped-in…and that Sven got firsties today. Does that mean he gets a doorbuster prize in addition to BOGO on comments?
…bet it was a Tea Partier……or even Sarah Palin herself.
A letter dated July 25 and signed by Rep. Marcia Fudge [my former rep -- Ed.], Ohio Democrat and caucus chairwoman, urges President Obama to consider Miss Jackson Lee for the position, calling the Democrat a “voice of reason” that the agency could stand to gain, the Houston Chronicle reported.
“Representative Jackson Lee would serve as an effective DHS Secretary because she understands the importance of increasing border security and maintaining homeland security,” the letter reads.
Mrs. Jackson Lee currently serves as a ranking member of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security, a position that the caucus said she “stands as a strong and honest ‘voice of reason.’”
Sheila Jackson “Two Vietnams, All White People Are Racist, Astronauts Planted A Flag on Mars, Answer Her Phone During A Townhall Meeting, Tea Partiers Are Kluxers” Lee??!?
Jeebus…she makes Hank “Guam Might Tip Over, I’m sorry I Used The M-Word (Even During My Apology For Doing So From The Well Of The House, D’oh!)” Johnson look good by comparison.
Is the CBC secretly using the KKK / Stormfront / David Duke crowd as their Human Resources Department?
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Greetings from UC Riverside, where I’m looking forward to another fun-filled day, book-ended by a long commute! Laissez les bons temps rouler!

I would run away screaming like a little girl.
And describing Ms. Triple-Crown Weave as a nominally-functional moron is WAY misunderestimating her. She’s been known to crash funerals if there’s some political gain to it.
::shudder::
More and more, it seems that LEOs of all stripes frequently look at us as “little people”. The rest of the “system” -- prosecutors, judges and legislators -- are all in bed together and tend to take care of their own. On our dime.
Elena’s mom passed quietly in her sleep about 7 AM this morning. Thank you for the prayers and thoughts. I didn’t mention it earlier because I didn’t want to harsh the mood and it has been a busy day. The young man who has been helping as the hospice nurse has really gone above and beyond in helping the family this past few days, including today. It really helped and showed what wonderful work these good people do. I am lucky in having my Gentle Gerbil Friends.
I’m sorry for the loss that you all are experiencing, Mac. Please give my condolences to Elena. I hope you can all find peace in remembering a life lived with love and integrity. You all will remain in my prayers.
Mac, I am so sorry for your and Elena’s loss. When you think it appropriate, please pass our condolences on to her. We’ll be thinking of both of you, and are sending hugs as best we can.
Thank you, I will pass along your condolences. It might surprise you all just how much a part of her life you are. I came to know and admire you all before I ever joined the Wheel, from following the DHD site, but while I told her about you all, you remained kind of phantoms to her until she met you at the Gerbil get togethers. Since then you have been friends to us, that we often talk about as I tell her about recent developments. She cares about and feels close to you all.
She will be staying with her family this week as they help and support each other. Thank you all again.
Mac & Elena,
I am saddened by your Mother’s passing, but I am comforted in the knowledge that she is with the ones she loves that have gone before her.
I have two memories of her. The first time I met her and the rest of Elena’s family was also the first time I met Mac and Elena when they came to Texas at the airport. I was shy, Mac was shy, they were all so gracious. I don’t speak Spanish & Mac told them I was his friend that he had never met before.. Their looks at me were curious, but friendly. He said later that they couldn’t believe that I came from another city just to meet his plane & say “hi”. They were such a joyous bunch & all talking at once & Mac said “Welcome to my world.”
My second memory of Mama Mouse was when Mac, Elena, Kate and I went to visit her & toured her lovely home. She was so bright and smiling. I think she smiled the whole time we were there. Although she was frail, she was bright- eyed and engaging. Of course, Kate & I fell in love with her house! Kate-the kitchen & great room, me- the immaculate garage & cabinets Elena’s Father had installed. A beautiful home that she was clearly very proud of. And she caught my eye a few times & nodded at me while everyone else was talking and translating for me. I was still shy, but I enjoyed visiting with her
Such a sweet lady and kind spirit. She is in my prayers, as y’all are, too.
Good morning! Jerry may be winning every captioning contest, but damn it, Im first this morning!

Sure Happy It’s Tuesday, GN!

Heh. Using a paintball GUN!!1!, no doubt.
Despite my jaded cynicism, I’m a bit stunned the CBC -- that wretched hive of racism and villainy -- is pushing nominally-functional moron Sheila Jackson Lee to head DHS.

Funny what passes for a voice of reason in DC.

Hiya, Paddy!
Given your comment last night re mileage reimbursement, with any luck you’ll get it in time for Christmas…teh yay!!!1!
Yes…I am twelve-years-old.
Nom or not nom: odori-don.
It’s like Frankenstein’s Sashimi. (Cthulhu could not be reached for comment.)

I thought it would be inappropriate to refer to Ms. Jackson Lee as I generally do and, thus, toned it down for Teh Squeak.
Heh. I love to cheat. You’d think I would feel bad, but I don’t.
Heard about this on the way home: how your forgot someone that you cuffed and put in a cell, well that’s a mystery.

Um, because “fuck you, that’s why”.
Procedures were followed, stern words were said by a supervisor and the taxpayers, as usual, foot the bill for LEOs gross negligence and malfeasance.
Another example of why these animals need to be stripped of immunity and be made to purchase personal liability policies out of their own pockets.
Yeah, it’s hard not to say what if a private citizen or corporation had behaved in a similar fashion…what would happen?

My condolences also and SMISHES for you and Elena. I will keep you in my thoughts.

It’s a goodness your MiL’s passing was a quiet one. (Knowing that about my Mom’s death made it suck less; you take comfort where you’re able.)
You’re all in our thoughts and if there’s anything we can do, please let us know.
Thank you, I will pass along your condolences. It might surprise you all just how much a part of her life you are. Oh….
Mac, our condolences to you and Elena, and Elena’s family.
I agree, hospice people are angels; and I agree with Fatwa, “peacefully” makes it suck less.
I mean this in the best way possible: Elena’s mother sounds like she was a helluva woman. Someone to be inspired by and respected.
Indeed.

What a beautiful memory, RabBiT. Thank you for sharing it.
That’s truly lovely; cheers, RabBeet.
Thank you, Rabbit for the reminder. It has been way too long since we’ve concocted schemes together!
