I was catching up on last night’s threads & reread the 911 stories. Thanks for posting them. Last night BW & I were glued to the History Channel watching their coverage, We didn’t have cable when those shows were first aired, & somehow we missed seeing them the last few years. It was footage (most of it) that we had never seen before. Hard to believe it happened & how much has changed for all of us since then.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, RabBiT!
Sven -- thanks for posting the link to our 9/11 stories. There were many names from the past and many memories.
G’day, GN and salutations to RabBeet, Paddy and Sven from Happy Larryville!
Special shout-out to Harper, (whom I’m sorry we missed) as well as DV8 and teh Proxy Gerbil.
Glad to see that two gun-grabbing asshats in CO got fired; dunno what the honest citizenry of CA can do save for a massive bit of civil disobedience in Sacramento such as an open-carry rally. (As Insty recently opined, “marches” on D.C. serve as an excellent reminder of the citizenry’s numerical superiority.)
Good afternoon/evening, Gerbil Nation!
I asked my students to solve a few basic algebra problems today (just rearranging variables) to loosen up the rusty algebra gears in their heads. As I walked through the class (these are all honors students), their working knowledge and ability ranged from “Is that all?” to “I have no idea what to do”. For some of these students, I really do wonder how they earned an A or B in those previous math classes they took.
Was listening to this on the way home: King’s X. They were/are a trio out of Houston. This is a nice, upbeat kinda tune:

Cousin! so good to see you!
Rabbit!!!! I’ve missed you and your stories!
Hi Kate! That file shows it was last modified on 11 Sept 2004 so it may be out of date. When I tried my link a few years ago it was pulled from U-Tube so I found it where I had stashed it earlier (I only got my first computer in 2002.) I saw many like it but I always was moved by that one and the music with it which I considered about perfect for it.
It is very nice to see you here. I have missed you a lot.
Morning after Greetings

You’ll get ’em in line in quick order, Paddy.
