Now there’s a breakfast sandwich!

Good morning!

Cooling down nicely out here--should be a decent day.

Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
I’d like that breakfast sandwich much more if you replaced the peanut butter and banana with a fried egg and cheese.

Hi, Paddy --

I didn’t notice the PB and banana…*aaaaaaaack!*

(I only had eyes for teh bacon.)

Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Happy Hump Day, GN!!!1!dromedary!!

Mac --

I’ll have what the man in teh thread pic is having, please; add the burger patty…nom!

Barry sure has a lot of dead sons, doesn’t he?

Paddy and Sven --

While it’s mostly for -- admittedly questionable -- comedic value, I’ve added “Barry’s Dead Sons” to my list of possible band names. (Believe me…it’s not the most tasteless monicker on there.)

O hai, Sven.

I just upgraded my relatively new laptop to Windows 8.1. It’s not a major upgrade but it is a step forward.

This summer I went looking for a laptop/tablet. I was interested in the Surface Pro. The problem I had with most tablets was that I probably would not enjoy using them most of the time. While looking around I found the Lenovo Yoga. The Yoga is a convertible laptop with a touch screen.

I have really enjoyed using it. It’s a quality machine, very sturdy, thinner than a Mac Air and super-fast. Windows 8 starts in less that 15 seconds and wakes from sleep in 5.

The screen folds completely over so that it can be used as a tablet. I upgraded yesterday and now it’s even faster.

Take that, Steve Jobs!

Good Morning/Afternoon EveryGerbillyBody from the up-at-4am-because-a-dog-got-into-it-with-a-skunk THREE MORNINGS IN A ROW Texas prairie.

Hopefully the o’dark-thirty baths will end now that Dottie brought home the carcass this morning.

I’ve been trying to keep up with all y’all -- and I think I’m doing an OK job of it. Mostly. It feels like a million things are going on, and I should remember them all -- and I do. Mostly.

But I. are. tard.

And the political BS is just … well, y’all know.

Some of it has come to our little VFD and well, I don’t think that’s going to turn out for the chief like he hoped ‘cuz it pissed my husband OFF (me too, but I’m pursuing a different route).

Enough he had a Letter to the Editor published in our little burg paper, and distributed an expanded version on all the tables at the monthly Republican Club meeting last night.

Imagine our surprise when the County Judge stood up as things were wrapping up waved a piece of paper and said, “Mr. X has left a nice piece of information on all your tables. I suggest y’all read and heed it!”

Small towns. Gotta love it.

I love y’all. Even if I’m too scattered to come in and say so often enough these days.

OK, I despise myself for this, but I thought the band name was pretty funny, Fatwa.

Good to see you, X, but “o’dark-thirty baths ” sounds racist to me.

Watching the cable news shows late tonight, I’m struck by how not a story the DC/Naval shooting is. Two days after the shooting and it’s just a story-not the lead, no piano music, no shots of the candlelight vigils, no long stories about the victims, no 45-minutes per hour of coverage. I can’t help but think that if the guy had used an AR15, if the guy had been white, if the govt itself hadnt so fouled up and let the guy in, that just maybe, there’d be a bit more coverage. And that leads me back to what I have come to believe: the left and the politicians and the media dont give a damn about the victims or the actual crimes, they just want to push their disarmament agenda.
