Good morning!

These winds have just not quit out here and arent scheduled to die down until late tomorrow. And guess what? Suppose to hit the high 80s again today. So far, no major brush fire activity, which is hard to believe given the conditions and all that, but a blessing nonetheless.

Dire predictions for the state’s agriculture industry--heading towards likely the driest winter on record, but on the plus side, Gov Moonbeam is still very excited about his high-speed bullet train project. Because that’s what CA needs: faster transport in 30 years between Barstow and Baker. The state doesn’t have enough power plants and it’s running out of water, but yeah, a bullet train, that’s the ticket. Desalination? Never heard of it.

Anyhow, wishing teh GN a lovely day. Miss you guys. Sniff.

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, GN!
Hai, Sven!

Glad to know that after their in-depth twenty minute investigation, it has been determined that there was no criminal activity at the IRS re conservative groups seeking tax exempt status.

If we had any balls left in this country, we would commence breaking windows in every building housing an IRS office of any sort all across this nation…just as a warning. (And no, I’m not being hyperbolic; there’s no decent way to have grievances addressed any more, if indeed there ever was.)

Also, I dearly hope my Rep Rob Woodall falls down a flight of stairs and snaps his skanky, unaccountable neck. (Fatal exposure to Hydrofluoric acid or a deadly auto accident would also be acceptable; I’m not a picky man.)

Good morning, Sven!
It was 90°F at my school yesterday, and it should be about the same today. The humidity is almost non-existent, but hasn’t yet reached single digits. All we need now is for some idiot to decide that now would be a good time to start some fires.

I hope TeX is fairing well in teh Motor City. I wonder if she gets to bring home a concept car or two as souvenirs?

Good morning, Fatwa! I didn’t see you come in while I was RaBbit-typing.

My rep. -- John Campbell -- is retiring at the end of his term. No leverage there.

Hai, Paddy!

…Gov Moonbeam is still very excited about his high-speed bullet train project.

I’m sure he finds the prospect of a big, fast, unionized, taxpayer-funded phallic device quite, erm, rousing.

That’s unfortunate.

Thus far, everyone who has announced for the open U.S. Senate seat here is a pawthetic joke, although I do intend on actively opposing deranged lunatic Paul Broun (currently the Rep from Athens and seated on the House Science and Technology Committee):

Spoke too soon. Fire in Glendora which is a ways from us, but perhaps a harbinger of how this day will shape up. It’s really unbelievably dry and windy out here.

Sat with Mrs Sven--went over what to take and where to go and what the plans are should things go sideways today in our area. Unfortunately, if something does break out, this time she’ll be first and maybe the only one to get home.

Heh. Forgot to tell her to pack up the cats. Just kidding….kind of…no really, we’ll take care of them….just as soon as all the Capodimonte stuff gets packed up…no, really just kidding…..

Off to work. Bye, guys.

Sven --

Hope nothing gets closer to you than Glendora…and that they get that under control fast.

…just as soon as all the Capodimonte stuff gets packed up…

Har!

Silly boy; Capodimonte never kills a thread. They bring joy and happiness to all that view them or own them. It’s their special gift!

Looks like the Glendora fire is under control and the winds throughout the southland are dying down. As Paddy noted, it aint just been windy but unbelievably hot. Odd weather. Wait, could it be? GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!

Work is meh. After watching one senseless thing after the other, this thought popped into my head: I won’t climb on board with stupid, but I’ll walk next to it.
