Hope SoCal gets a good amount of rain toward the end of this coming week for a whole bunch o’ reasons.
Today, I get to start putting together a revised bid for an 84,000 sq. ft. roofing gig; wo0t!!1!
The first time we bid it was 13.5 years ago; the price has gone up just a leetle bit. The only reason they’ve been able to go this long is that the roof is mostly two very steep barrels and four roof layers -- which is highly illegal, but that’s the way it was they bought it in 2000. (And over the years, we’ve pretty much reroofed all of the valleys.)
Not holding my breath, but exciting nonetheless. (See lucre, feelthy.)
I find myself increasingly appreciating the Chinese method of dealing with corrupt government officials.

Know it’s going to be a drought-y year out there but hope next week’s rain is a significant one. Bummer it’ll be too warm in the mountains to accumulate much snow. 🙁

Not so sure on the rain, Fatwa. The weather people are hopeful, but no matter what we get, the drought is here to stay this year at least.
