Nice. Someone has finally found a way to put cats to good use.

Good morning from wet and doomed SoCal! We’ve apparently survived the first round of Rainageddon altho the roads look to be a mess and there’s more rain on the way.

Sure Happy It’s Thursday here in crisp, sunny Larryville, GN!

That cat’s probably receiving encrypted info which will lead to something nefarious…just you wait and see.

Sven --

Hope you put teh pontoons on your truck so you can pickup-surf down your street to teh park. But seriously: hope you and Mrs. Sven stay safe on the roads; ditto the O’Furnijurs.

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven and Fatwa!
The gentle pitter-pat of raindrops arrived sometime after midnight. Let’s hope the burn areas get a chance to absorb the rain and that we won’t see any massive mud slides.

Stay safe on the roads, Sven (and Mrs. Sven).

Good morning Fatwa and Paddy.

Heading off to work. Checking the rain gauges, looks like a bit more than an inch last night. A lot more on the way if you can believe the meteorologists. Mrs Sven is excited: she says she hasnt seen six inches in over 25 years!

Drive safely as well, Paddy. And a good day to you, Fatwa, and everyone else!

Are you stealing Paddy’s material?

Y’know, I’d have loved it if, after Dingy Harry called cancer patients liars yesterday, another Senator had walked up and punched him right in the face. Or even merely grabbed him by the lapels and bitch-slapped him.

Since the “World’s Greatest Deliberative Body” is so keen on tradition, I really think they ought to bring back fisticuffs, canings and drubbings.

Also dueling. Right in the Senate chamber, as a stray round might take out some other oh-so-worthy scumbag(s).

Good Evening EveryGerbillyBody!

I’ve been hearing a lot about Rainageddon from my buddy Bob. So far, he’s not impressed. We, on the other hand, got an inch and a quarter, I can certainly live with that.

It’s been a fast and busy week, and a good one. Seems like the epidural continues to produce results (the cortisone should hit full effect around Sunday), I’m down to feeling like I’ve got a knot under my left shoulder blade and some general achiness -- which lessens everyday. I’ve been playing with ice and heat, and that seems to be treating the considerably lesser pain level. We got an inversion table last night, and that’s kinda nice, and I should have a tens unit pretty soon too, just to use if things kick back up before my next appointment in five weeks.

But so far, so good -- and Jeebus, what a difference taking the pain away makes. My general attitude is greatly improved, although my ability to deal with less-than-useless co-worker continues to be a challenge. It’s difficult putting a polite spin on sh¡t she should know cold by now (and knew last week), and couldn’t seem to wrap her mind around yesterday.

As my buddy Bob is fond of saying, I’d probably have an easier time teaching one of my dogs to microwave a burrito.
::snicker::
I don’t think he’s far off.

Tomorrow’s Friday (teh yay!), and Sunday we have our VFD Variety Shoot. Boss-boss and his wife will be coming. This should be fun (and it gave him an excuse to buy a new 12-gauge). We’ll get to see what our own expressions must have been the first time we went. 🙂

Other than that, I got nuthin’ but plants sprouting on my kitchen window sill that I can’t plant ‘cuz we’ve got another freeze coming next week apparently. Boo.

Love y’all.
*mwah!*
