The weather in Northridge this week has been highs in the seventies; next week the mid- to upper-nineties (which will be a lot tougher on my cow-workers than me). Nonetheless: feh.

Sheesh, I haven’t checked my email in a few days and here’s a note from our insurance agent. Homeowner insurance rates are going up 100%. Last year we were jacked 140%. And next year?
I’m thinking of rolling the dice. F*ck it all on the insurance side and if it burns down, walk away and let the bank have what’s left.
