Invariably, separately or together, whenever we *think* we’ve picked out a nice color, it ends up penis pink on the wall.
/’course that may end now that we’ve gotten rid of the maroon carpeting throughout the house…and
// ::knock wood:: I’m not *aware* of any impending remodels…

Good Morning EveryGerbillyBody!

I am so very relieved it’s finally Friday. The last couple of weeks at work have been BRU.TAL. Every time I see that little Outlook envelope pop up in my task bar I cringe, wondering what fresh hell awaits the next double-click. And this will probably continue for at least another month, if not more.

However, we DID get 6 1/2″ of rain this past Monday (yay™) and it wasn’t followed by 8″ of wind (yay™ ²) -- something we’re definitely grateful for, and I’m sure the SW pasture that got all the fertilizer last weekend is enjoying as well. And the big pond’s only about 2″ from totally full. Thank you, G-d. We needed it.

We’re going to move the moos over to that side this weekend, so it’ll be a test of “just how far are you willing to follow the magic bucket?” The older one snaps to attention when I yell out the “cube call” and the littler ones aren’t far behind her.

We’re also going to try and replace the faceplate on my phone this weekend too -- everything works, still, it just looks like it was dropped from a 10-story building thanks to teh puppy gnawing on it (there is no Brody, only Zuul). We should really have named that dog Diablo.

Other than that, I got nuthin’. I hope all the SoCal Gerbillinos are a safe distance from any of the fires (I think Cali may be close on one of the nine in San Diego county).

Coffee anyone?

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, TeX! It’s wonderful to see you!
Cali is still a good distance from any of the SD fires, so no current worries in that regard.
The weather is definitely cooler this morning (which is good) and the winds are beginning to shift, which means we can now smell the smoke from the San Diego fires.

Teh Younger is finished with his Freshman year of college and is coming home tonight! He hasn’t been home since late January. It will be interesting to see how things play out in the household this summer -- he’s grown and matured in many ways.

Take care, y’all and I’ll c u laterz!
