Cheers for teh supplementary machinist pr0n last night; I found the cutting rates startling. (I’m constantly amazed by the swift technological improvements of older trades -- such as machining, or, for that matter, creating music.)

I must confess that, even being teh ginormous cynic I am, the fookin’ audacity of claiming that the Lerner emails got “deleted” took my breath away. I don’t think there can be a shred of doubt that America’s government has become utterly lawless. The questions is now “what are we going to do about it?”

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Good morning from the home of the Stanley Cup! Wonderful game last night and just an amazing run by the Kings this post season.

As far as Lerner’s emails being deleted, it’s quite hard to believe that in govt, like in almost any corporation in America, that her emails were not archived so regardless of what happened to her hard drive that they aint stored somewhere.

Some playoff notes:

The Kings became the first team in NHL history to play 26 playoff games and win the Cup. They faced elimination and won seven times, the most by any Stanley Cup champion.

They became the first time since 1987 to win four times in a postseason in games they trailed by two goals.

They became the first team in Stanley Cup Playoffs history to win three straight games when rallying from two-goal deficits.

Great game last night!

34 CFR Chapter 12 requires that all government agencies archive their records (which includes email and instant messages) and sets the standards for archival storage facilities. The IRS claiming that a computer glitch caused them to lose the emails is like Mac claiming he lost a particular file -- conveniently ignoring the multiple on-site back-ups he has, as well as the off-site back-up.

Pfffft! Rules and laws only apply to the little people, not our betters.

I predict this Lerner BS will go nowhere because at the end of the day, there’s nary a single testicle in our Congress when it comes to supporting and defending the Constitution or anything even vaguely resembling government accountability.
