In part -- presuming his scumbag chief of staff is present -- I’d like to shake that douchebag’s hand while telling him in the strongest possible language how much I appreciated his rude treatment and outright prevarication during a phone call some months back. And sneeringly point out that sort of thing makes him and his boss exemplars of why Congress’ approval rating is in the single digits.
Guess I’ll wait and see how pissy I’m feeling this evening. 😉

Lunch time and I make the mistake of looking at the cable news re: Ferguson.
Black is white, up is down, and left is right. I’ve never seen a more confused bunch of people than these folks in St. Louis along with the talking heads in the media. But by God, they’ve got their narrative and they are sticking to it.
A hero’s sendoff for a guy who more than likely attacked a police office immediately after doing a robbery.
Ferguson is every which way but straigt, and so is our foreign policy. Apparently what was holy writ on Friday re: ISIS is now, “I never said that!”
Guh.
BUT, here’s the fun stuff. We did get my lights done, and they’re SO cool.

And if that wasn’t enough, we picked up this STEAL of a cattle trailer (not because it’s orange and has “rent me” all over it). Normally, one of these would cost ~$5K in good condition. This one’s got some rust issues and the brakes were good and tires fair. Which turned into the brakes are brand spanking NEW on all four axles (and not out of our pocket) when some issues came up during Mr. X’s inspection.
Whee! And only $1500. Score!
So we’re almost self-contained in terms of wrangling. Now we need to find us two more heifers.

Cool stuff, TeX! I love the Edison bulbs. I don’t know where you got yours, but 1000bulbs.com has them at pretty decent prices, depending on the bulb and filament style -- at least compared to the prices I’ve seen elsewhere.
In re teh cow wagon, maybe you could paint the White House phone number under ‘Rent Me’.

Obama today sent 3 administration officials to the Michael Brown funeral/circus. All 3 were black. Apparently not one white, non-racist, non-hater, could be found.
I couldn’t care less what events Obama chooses to voice his opinion on or send his delegates to or attend himself except that the pattern is that if something happens to a black man by a non-black man, then he’s likely to offer up his support. Off the top of my head, there was that idiot professor with the police behaving foolishly followed by the beer summit; Trayvon Martin, and now this bullshit in Ferguson where if there was one white in that crowd I didnt see him.
Civil rights investigation into the murder of Brian Terry or messages of support or sympathy from Obama? No. The funeral of Chris Kyle had zero administration representation and that was for a decorated Navy SEAL who was murdered as he tried to help a fellow member of the military. Holder didnt give a shit about Erik Scott being killed by police at a Las Vegas Costco, nor the killing by police of veteran Jose Guerena in his Arizona home, nor the killing of 80-year old Eugene Mallory (in his bed) by LA Sheriffs.
It’s almost as if there’s some selection process going on.
