It’s Tuesday, eh? Going to be a long week with really miserable weather out here. Won’t be surprised if the first major fires of the season break out by the weekend.
Hope you ace your test today and that we’ll get to hang with you next week. 😉
James O’Keefe’s latest stunt has upset a lot of folks in Cleveland.
He visited the area to film a video that purports to show an Ebola-infected terrorist from ISIS crossing Lake Erie in a boat with a bag full of ricin and marching unchallenged with it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Predictably, the messenger is being shot at by commenters:
Conservatives love this numskull [sic]. Why? Because conservatives have poor taste.
This guy is basically a petty criminal and has that Richard Nixon thing going on about him. No wonder teapublicans love him.
Also love this idjit’s “logic”:
I’ll have to watch the video when I get home but the premise is absurd. Cleveland is hardly a large population center. His premise might be plausible in the 1930’s.
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, Fatwa, & Dianna!
It was good to see Dianna, Kate, and Brenda, yesterday. I guess we’re going to have to start keeping this place a little cleaner than we have of late.
So, killing 10-15 thousand people out of a population of 390,000 is OK, but killing 10-15 thousand out of a million is bad? Is that how it works?
Cuyahoga County -- where Cleveland’s located -- is actually a significant bastion of liberal / progressive / dumbass voters. (I grew-up there and also lived there for four years after fleeing CA prior to meeting Brenda and moving to GA.)
Many former county officials are currently in various federal “facilities”; there was a big FBI bust of elected / appointed / crony crooks back in ’08.
Is that how it works?
Got me…I’m dumbfounded.
But, yeah…that comment is frighteningly foolish, given that all the Mohammedans (or any other malefactors) need is “Patient One” and a population of potential vectors. Not as dramatic as L.A., NYC or Chicago, but it’d still “git ‘r’ done” in terms of terror.

Holy moly, I lost a comment by hitting backspace while editing!
Anywho --
I have to wonder why “His premise might be plausible in the 1930’s”.
As for the test, I expect I passed -- I got a 92 5 years ago, passing is in the 70’s, and I have actually used most of the info on a day to day basis since then. and I read the actual BOH Restaurant inspections weekly. OTOH, I could have “misread” some questions. A sample yes or no question from class: “prepping meat on a red cutting board reduces the chance of cross contamination”. Answer is . . . yes. They neglected the context -- using red cutting boards exclusively for meat, green exclusively for produce etc. I did try to read the questions and answers with that in mind, but argh!
Sven: what happened to the miracle rain I heard y’all were about to get?
The rain was postponed, Kate, so that California could focus on more important things like saving the planet by eliminating plastic bags and reducing our greenhouse gases by building a fast train that goes from nowhere to nowhere. But it goes really fast. If it ever gets built and if we don’t run out of electricity and water first.
California is boned. Seriously though, the big El Nino winter rains that were fer certain at the start of the year are now a maybe.
Good morning,
Nice to “see” Dianna yesterday and Kate too!

That particular last comment just takes my breath.
It’s OK because Cleveland isn’t a liberal center, or something? Killing some portion of 390,000 people wouldn’t be bad enough?
