Good morning, gentle Gerbils. It is in the twenties here but it should reach a high in the 40s. We had a little snow last night and there is frost and snow outside. Should work it’s way warmer from here as the week goes by.
Sven, we are used to wind here but not those kinds of wind. Hope everything is well secured.
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning Fatwa, Sven, and Mac!
Yep, strong winds again, although they weren’t as bad at home as they were other places we traveled yesterday. Humidity is back in the low teens.
I’ve got a pork shoulder on the grill with some hickory chips adding some smoke -- that’s my main project for the day. Hopefully this new dry rub I’m trying will be as good as it currently smells.
I’m sorry, but that just can’t be. I saw during the Q&A at the G20 summit that His Oilyness only learned of Gruber and his recommendations that day. If Duh Won! were lying to us, I’m sure the alphabet soup media would inform us.
It might be -- I don’t recall if I’ve heard it before or not.
The pulled pork turned out well. It was probably one of the tougher pork shoulders I’ve smoked, but the rub worked out well. I added a broccoli slaw to the sammiches for a little more crunch than the usual cabbage slaw and tried a Carolina BBQ sauce from TJ’s that I enjoyed. I think I’ll make some cornbread for tomorrow’s leftovers.
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Forecast high today in Happy Larryville: 58ºF…plummeting to 23º overnight. And 19º tomorrow night. Damn you, Al Gore!
Good morning all you Monday haters!
Temps out here are supposed to be in the 70s, but its’ been windy all weekend. Today looking at 40-60 mph until nightfall.

Drive-by:
Hai, Mac and Paddy!
Hope Mac and Elena are staying warm…and that Paddy’s rub tasted as good as it smelled.
More Grubermania: Il Douchey admits he’s stolen ideas from people like…Gruber:

Never heard that one before; is it a Paddy original?
Also, how did the pork shoulder come out?
