Picked up 3.5 inches overnight--that’s a big deal for us out here. Havent heard of any major problems yet, but I’m sure the roads will be a real delight in about an hour.

I don’t know how much rain we’ve gotten -- less than Sven -- but it’s been pretty steady. I hope Sven’s ‘coons are doing okay. Teh Younger arrived safely last night -- Long Beach, not LAX.
The story of Hollywood execs’ racist emails actually made the local paper, albeit in the business section.
I’m hoping teh rains in SoCal will be good for feelthy roofing lucre next year; moar “Holy Carp — Deathpocalypse Terror Storms!!1!” plztks.
We’ve been hearing all about the “Pineapple of Death” as my buddy Bob’s been calling it. Mr. X has been yelling at the TV repeatedly, “And you didn’t build even ONE reservoir to catch that water, did you?!”
With any luck we’ll be seeing the remnants of the Pineapple on Sunday (it won’t have nearly the energy).
