While it’s certainly true that Brown messes things up, the Assembly’s a big help in that effort, too.

News came out this week that Atlanta’s 2.7 mile, $98M streetcar (or, if you prefer, $6,874 per foot) is carrying 18% fewer riders than anticipated with service that is currently free. And the operating costs will be at least 50% higher than anticipated.
The farking thing was built largely as a sop to MLK’s family as it runs right past the King Center. (Meanwhile, various family members are squabbling over ownership of a few artifacts with rather high auction values…)
One of the proposed resolutions is to spend even moar public money to spur “development” by making the route more “walkable”…which largely seems to mean redeveloping the much-used -- and revenue-generating -- current parking lots as “green space”.
