We went out to dinner at a nice restaurant a couple of weeks ago and when the food was served I jokingly told Mrs Sven to eat up cuz “it’s all ramen and cat food after this.” I guess I was a little too loud as some other diners turned to stare at us.
I have thought of writing a cat food cookbook for us retirees without the Suze Orman gazillion dollar retirement funds, but you know what? That stuff aint all that affordable either.
And good morning Fatwa--wishing you and Miss Brenda a wonderful day!
Troll cat ate the Friskies Salmon Dinner in Sauce (Senior diet-pate) offering this morning and asked for seconds. OK, there’s one check mark in the good column.
The variety and branding of all these different types of cat food is impressive--imagine there’s big bucks in that industry.
So it’s Monday again--the start of another work week. Yippee.
I like Ted Cruz, but am leery of another Senator with little political experience at the federal level as president.
That’s a rather hostile looking cup of coffee, Fatwa. Instead, I will go to Starbucks for a cup of decaf and a nice pleasant conversation on race relations…that will get me in the right mood to begin the day.
Starbuck’s has already axed their cunning social engineering program; I think it was the photos of their muy blanco “executive team” being roundly mocked on social media…along with all teh other taunting over the weekend.
====================
I suspect that declaring almost twenty months before the election will turn out to be a poor choice for Mr. Cruz; waaaay too much time for oppo research and fabricating / disseminating lies (which will be be half-heartedly retracted after the damage has been accomplished).
Personally, I don’t give a carp, as I will absolutely not be voting for any GOP (or Dem) candidates for the foreseeable future. The rat bastards who run both parties -- along with their skank-ass candidates -- categorically do not give a flying fark about supporting and defending the Constitution and I will no longer vote for our further enslavement.
To paraphrase Jeremiah Wright, “God damn the current government of America.”
Good morning, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and Mac!
Coffee? Why yes, I think I will have some! I prefer mine African-American -- the more African, the better.
Sven -- I’m glad you’ve found something Troll cat will eat -- at least for now. You’re right about that stuff not being cheap. If it comes to that, it’d be cheaper to buy 25-lb. sacks of rice and beans.
I like Ted Cruz, but I don’t think the GOP establishment will support a conservative candidate. We’ll probably start with a big field that includes a few candidates that I could live with, then the primary process will whittle that down to Bob Dole and John McCain.
Oh joy. Will we get to see the media flatter and praise McCain again, hailing him as the great moderate all Republicans should back, at least until he wins the nomination?
Because it’s Monday, I shall skip the traditional cheery greeting and go directly to gaaaaaaaaaaaaah! 😉
Sven --
Perhaps you can also publish the results in the AARP newsletter, given the condition of the Social Security Fund. 🙁
And from today’s WTF file: pickle juice sports drink!

Hai, Sven!
Need a little extra adrenalin to accompany your coffee this morning? If so, here ya go:

I understand your perspective, Fatwa, but I am curious if the Republicans have the desire to embrace a conservative candidate.
As far as Starbucks goes, they may have dropped their campaign, but that doesnt mean that I have to.
And off to work. A good day to everybody. While working today, Mac, I have La Traviata lined up on my playlist.
Poof
Hope you like it, Sven. Good luck.

Mac -- of course! Hasn’t the media been fawning over Jeb Bush? Aren’t they in love with Chris Christie?
Hai, Mac and Paddy!
GoodwifeK thinks that McCain’s looking more and more like Valdemort.
The RINO Who Must Not Be Named?
Heh.
There’re a lot of those…unless they’re both named and shamed. Which is a mighty long list, IMHO.
